Pershing Unveils Sport Utility Yacht Concept: Meet the GTX Series

The new GTX series is set to transform the 20-40m yacht market with the first entry of the series being the 35.24-meter Pershing GTX116.

The GTX Series was conceived through a collaboration between the Ferretti Group Strategic Product Committee led by Mr Piero Ferrari, the design team headed by Fulvio De Simoni and Ferretti Group’s engineering department. The new GTX series is set to transform the 20-40m yacht market with the first entry of the series being the 35.24-meter Pershing GTX116.

The sleek and sporty profile is synonymous with Pershing’s DNA and focus on performance. The GTX116 yacht ensures a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces with a large main saloon featuring floor-to-ceiling windows on the port side that opens up into a four-meter exterior balcony.

With 165-square meters of seamlessly connected outdoor areas, the GTX116 also boasts a vast flybridge sundeck and a superb recreation area on the foredeck complete with a spa pool.

There are three levels down to the water’s edge: a dining/lounging area, a discreetly screened sun lounging space and a huge 38-square meter beach club. The GTX116 also includes a garage that can hold a five-meter tender a jet ski and a water toy.

Designed for ten guests and up to five crew, the lower deck provides a full-beam owner’s suite with his and hers bathrooms, plus four exquisite en-suite cabins adorned in Italian leather by Poltrona Frau. The interior of these staterooms. A discreetly screened helm and galley help ensure complete privacy on the main deck dining and lounge areas.

The striking GTX116 is every bit as potent as you would expect of any Pershing yacht. With triple 1800hp or 2000hp MAN V12 diesel engines hooked up to Kamewa waterjets, you can expect superb handling agility alongside a top speed in excess of 35 knots. Range is around 400nm at a cruising speed of around 29.5 knots.

The First unit of the GTX series is expected to be delivered later this year in 2022 with other models in development in the future.
